The staff are friendly so that’s the one star. My partner and i have issues getting our refills EVERY single time. it’s always “contact your provider” then the provider says to contact the pharmacy, or i’m told i have to pay for medications i have insurance for, half of the staff clearly aren’t sure of what’s going on at least half of the time and need someone to come and help them… not to mention i get texts from them or my doctor saying my meds are ready for pick up and guess what, they usually aren’t. I'm having a hard time and questioning the 3 star average on google reviews. I have had nothing but positive experiences at the Oakdale location. Obviously the people that are giving the poor reviews have other issues that are clearly not the pharmacy's fault. great job Hy-Vee......keep up the good work
Told to come in to pick up meds twice on the phone, to get told I'm too early in front of a line of ppl last week. Then told I can come pickup meds on Thursday. Thursday turns to Friday. Now Friday turns to Monday. This for a script that has been in the system for weeks.
. They filled my prescription using one of the lowest-quality generic off-brand manufacturers — the kind that should barely pass FDA standards. The tablets caused terrible side effects, and when I asked for help switching to a different manufacturer or brand, they told me there was “nothing they could do.” Even after my doctor sent in a new prescription specifically requesting a change, the pharmacy still refused to accommodate it and said they wouldn’t refill for another month.
