From the deli...my deep fried chicken was raw and the orher piece was so crisp it shattered when I took a bite.....normally good..was awful..very disappointed and turned off.....step up your game!
I stopped in the bakery earlier this afternoon, only to be totally ignored by the three staff members present. Don't like the layout. Staff not friendly.
I love this store and the employees are always friendly and helpful, but good grief! Every time I shop--in store or online--I get cans tossed in the same bag as produce. Bananas, apples, cucumbers, always the things that bruise. Today, my items were so poorly packed, the plastic wrapping on a tray of raw chicken had ripped and the bag was full of raw chicken juices. I honestly do love this store so I will continue shopping here, but I really think there needs to be some retraining as far as bagging goes.
I previously said I wouldn't be back again and I never should have but I thought maybe they had improved.What a mistake. Again, came to this store and although it was 7pm and the deli was open ( presumably till 9pm), there was no employee. Waited ten minutes, and no one shows up. Left emptyhanded. Even worse I stopped again last night for 3 items, took about 5 minutes to get them all ove rthe store, but then had to stand in line for about 15 minutes to check out. Simply not enough cashiers. Every time I am in the Madison Area, I make it a point to visit this Hy-Vee! I travel and I have never found a grocery store as great as Hy-Vee, and this store is one of the best within Hy-Vee. Shelves are stocked and produce is fresh, plus whenever I need help finding something, an employee is usually close by and willing to help. Top notch store!
The produce department was dirty with produce on the floor in multiple areas. Many areas of the store were not stocked. We waited in line for longer than 15 minutes and much of that time the cashier’s light was flashing and no one came to help. Also her scale wasn’t functioning properly and had to be reset each time someone purchased produce. We also had to bag our own groceries. For this quality and service I might as well shop at Woodmans because I’d at least get better prices.
