What a huge let down. Sunday buffet was one of the better ones around the westside. They decreased buffet choices in half and it shows as the restaurant was basically empty. Get your own beverages, silverware. The big kicker is that the prices stayed the same. I was told that this was a corporate wide decision for all locations. Staff has been cut way back so that the very limited service that they do provide still is blah! What a shame!
Normally, we really enjoy the restaurant at HyVee, but today was let down. When did they move from real plates to plastic trays? The food is usually very good, today it was more like a fast food experience.
RecommendedI love this store. I’ve been shopping here for several years now. The produce & meat department are fantastic. The Hot deli selection is amazing. So many delicious choices. Staff has always been polite and helpful. I’ve also used the shop online and deliver service. Both great services. However, 3 of the last 5-6 times I have been here, I have had someone ask me for $$ in the parking lot. Yesterday, someone walked up to my car and knocked on my window. Startling. By far the most expensive grocery store in town, will not be returning. Sticker shock everywhere. Go to Woodman's instead

Today started out horribly as I got to Hyvee to pick up a cake that I ordered 11 days ago but when I got there they said they didn't have an order for me. I was mad! When I got to work I called them because I still needed a cake and spoke to the manager. They delivered my cake for no cost to me, added extra decorations on it, and gave us some really cute balloons! I'm very impressed with how they handled the situation and would still recommend them.

I was parked at the Target store for my 10-hour break went to HyVee across the street for an early lunch about 8 a.m. the salad bar was all full and fresh and I got it to go container and put some stuff in it couldn't find anybody to help me pay for it so I went into the market spot and this gentleman kindly took my money after he told me that the lady that usually does the register wasn't there today I really wasn't interested all I wanted to do was pay for my food and leave kind of confusing but it was okay
