I purchased some sausage on Monday and when I went to use it on Thursday I noticed it had expired over a week before I even got it. I called Hy-Vee to see about getting a refund and I was a little disappointed because I was already mid dinner prep and thought I'd have to change dinner for that night. To my surprise the manager ran a new one to my house within fifteen minutes and saved my dinner and gave me a gift card for my trouble! I had ordered 200 cupcakes from their bakery for my wedding in April. They turned out phenomenally. They were very helpful and willing to work with me on what I wanted. They looked beautiful.
We tried Hy-Vee delivery for the first time last night. The delivery guy even brought the groceries to the kitchen! Usually go to Walmart so I was curious to see how prices compared. Prices seemed to balance out to what we'd normally pay elsewhere (some things a little higher, some things a little lower), plus we got fuel saver points and hit some good sales. I just finished cooking Chef Steve's express dinner box of Ancho Sirloin Steaks with asparagus and corn on the cob. A $10 dinner for two that I would have happily paid $15 per entree for the same meal served at a restraint. The meat was especially tender. Sooooooo good and easy. I've bought every box made so far and want more!
I love Bloomington's Hy-Vee! I am continually amazed by the friendliness of the Hy-Vee employees. I love smiling my way through the store!
I just asked my 2 year old what he would like to do on this rainy day, he said "Go to HyVee!"
I would've given a 5 star but the last couple times they havent had the meat that i go there specifically for. Turkey pastrami in the deli and pig belly side. They get the pig side in but concidering they smoke their own bacon in house there's rarely any left when i get a chance to go there. But the members in the. Meat department and deli said to call ahead so they can make it happen. Will defiantly do a follow up review when it works out.
