Great food! Great people! Great atmosphere ! The menu has a large variety.
Very bad - waited 90 minutes for food; half was cold other half was over cooked. All the meals had the same sauce. It was awful - go someplace else.
I had the Sunday brunch. Everything that I had, and I tried to sample everything but couldn't because there was SO much, was phenomenal! All authentic cajun dishes made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. I go to NOLA every year so I'm quite familiar with cajun cuisine and the food here at Hwy 61 Roadhouse is true to the food in Louisiana. The decor give a full Nawlins vibe too. Food wasn't great. NO Rice! We were told they would be out of rice for an 1 1/2! Who runs out of rice at a Cajun restaurant? Ordered a Moscow mule. It was brought in a tall glass no mint. No copper mug. Server was nice and apologized often for the wait and no rice. She brought partial meals out. Sides came after main dish was finished. Will not be back!
Was there yesterday for the first time. Had a blast. Will definitely come back in the future. If I had one complaint it would be the price of the 2 Rum Chata shots I ordered. $13? Not sure if it was a mistake on the bartenders end or if that's the regular price. Nice perk on the free bead with every hurricane ordered. I ended up with 11 of them. Not to worry though, my wife was my designated driver.
