I'm not so sure i'd come back again. was there yesterday for a relatives birthday and had the buffet. The biscuts were like blocks of wood gravy had no flavor tasted like wallpaper paste. The waffles were cold and dried out. only decent thing was the hash browns .. The server that was helping the table I will say was pleasant that was the only good thing about this place
Will definitely be back! Great food, the Cajun Bloody Mary was AWESOME, and atmosphere and service were fantastic!
Well...the atmosphere is classic however, our waitress was about as personable as a door... She seemed to not be too concerned about our experience there. I get that they are busy but if you don't like to be personable and friendly then maybe you should not be in a people oriented job. It's a cool place to hang out if you don't mind waiting a while for service as they are very busy there.
We started with the Cajasian potstickers and they are excellent!! I had the fish tacos with Cajun nachos and it was fantastic!! This will be another one of our go to spots when going to St Louis!!!!
Great food and plenty of it. The 3 sample plate of Gumbo, Jambalaya. and red beans & rice with a homemade corn muffin was my favorite.....The build your own 1/2 # burger with waffle fries came in a close second for me. The room was also filled with music by Justin Johnson who is an amazing musician. A big thumbs up for the waitresses that working the CBG event. This place has great atmosphere and one needs to put it on their list if you are in the St. Louis area.
Was there for the 5th annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival. It was very well organized, staff was polite, professional and extremely helpful, food was outstanding. Looking forward to next year's festival and to stopping by there again in the meantime.
This place is awesome! The food, the service, & the atmosphere far exceeded our expectations! It's definitely a must do whether you're making a drive or are in the area! They have an amazing Southern Rythym and Blues/Jazz/New Orleans decor and an authentic Cajun/Southern Barbecue menu! We drove 3 hours round trip tonight for their "2017 Cigar Box Guitar Festival" and to see world renowned Mississippi Delta Blues Guitarist "Justin Johnson" shred a variety of guitars including the shovel guitar that he's made famous! THEY ARE RACIST. MY DAD AND I WENT INTO THE RESTAURANT AND THE HOST SAID IT WOULD BE AN HOUR WAIT. I CALLED THEM AND SOUNDED "WHITE" AND BILL TOLD ME IT WAS A 30 MINUTE WAIT. WORST PLACE TO GO !!!!!!!
