The House At 61 Steinwehr Ave Was Not Here Yet During The Civil War Battle Of Gettysburg, But Was Build About 1900, Yes It Is Small Inside, But We Make Great Use Of The Space. We are CLOSED FOR THE SEASON FROM THANKSGIVING, DECEMBER, JANUARY AND FEBRUARY, REOPENING IN March.

First time in Gettysburg and at Hunt’s Battlefield Fries. Hands down the best cheesesteak ever! Chili cheese fries are awesome as well. A small fry was plenty for 2 people! Will definitely be back!
Today we stopped at Hunts for lunch with my husband, 4 kids, and my in-laws. It was small and inviting. We were waited on right away by the wonderful owner. My husband got his favorite old fashioned birch beer in a bottle and my daughter ordered the freshly squeezed lemonade. Our food came very fast and it was by far the best burgers and sandwiches we have had. All the meat is fresh from the butcher and nothing is pre-made.
