Wow… walked in, beds were full. Ok I get it. That said we saw no one but did check in. We decided to leave because it was dirty! A month later we received a $200 bill after insurance paid over $800). No details on what the bill was for.
Went in for a GHB (roofie) overdose. None of the staff know what GHB is, let alone how to treat an OD. I walked in around 9AM and the place was barren. One (kind of rude, definitely apathetic) guy doing admissions and one (also apathetic) nurse doing intake. The hospital is dingy and not modern at all. Waiting room was dirty with homeless hanging out. Horrible body order. Check in was very relaxed and no sense of urgency. Poor staffing and lack urgency. We left the facility and drove to Hoag Hospital ER in Newport Beach. Got to Hoag ER. Valet services at entrance. Within 2 minutes, my daughter was checked in with no wait by three staff members and seen by two nurses of issues/concerns. They put her in chair and brought her to a room within 5 minutes. Our daughter had a scary allergic reaction and we were glad we went here. John the nurse was incredible. He was very patient and caring for our young daughter. It was as best of service as possible.
