We've been in business for 30 years. Chinese food has evolved alot during those time. People are eating healthier, and better ingredients. Our products are 100% sourced in the US. Best quality fish, seafood, meats and produce are all from the Hunts' Point Mkt right here in New York. Our cuisine is different because we don't believe in cooking with lots of sauce and seasoning that lots of Chinese restaurants do. Give it a try, and you will understand!! My family has been going to Hunan Taste for over 25 years and I’ve known Calvin and his family since I was a little kid. This is the best Chinese restaurant period! The food, atmosphere, and classic hospitality makes Hunan Taste a special place.

Food was not as good as when we went a few years ago. Shrimp were overcooked and the dumplings were very heavily breaded. Service was curt too. We asked for a cocktail menu and the response was we have a full bar.
Everything is 😋. The service is quick and respectful. The atmosphere is friendly and conducive to bonding with our family.
Excellent food. The pork was so tender with the plum sauce and then ravioli with shrimp. So good. Owner very nice. Staff friendly. Great night with friends.
