Diego (adopted 4/2019) was a terrified little Chihuahua. With patience and an older female Chi mix of the same(ish) size in our home already, he came out of his shell (slowly). From a dog that had never felt human touch and scared all around, he has come full circle. He is the funniest, and cuddliest little guy. Don’t give up on those that show fear/anger! Patience, trust and probably a quieter household for those that have that level of fear, but Diego is proof that it is possible.
I rescued adde almost two weeks ago and what a wonderful dog she is I was very happy how nice the people were working there and how clean it was great job Sarasota Humane Society what a wonderful place to rescue a dog you deserve 10 Stars
Adopt don't shop - great animals
It's a great place to get a forever friend, cat or dog. It is very clean and the employees care so much for finding every animal a home. It is a no kill shelter.

I found my absolute best furfriend here and I can not be more thankful!! Back in March I came in after seeing my Fabio on the website. As soon as I walked into the kitty room I instantly found his kennel and it was love at first purr. The volunteers and workers were just so great! Fabio has been the best kitty man I could ever ask for! <3
