Dr. Serena Chen is the best. Upon meeting with her, she got straight to the point about which options are best for our infertility treatment. She is very very knowledgeable, in which she was able to answer all of our questions and concerns. Dr. Chen was with us every step of the way and we would highly recommend her for future patients.

I would not recommend anyone to go to her. We wasted 3 IUI's and lots of money. I think that office only cares about how much they can bill you.

I should have done my research before going here. Dr. Cekleniak does not have depth of knowledge. She is possibly good as an agony aunt who listens and agrees, but does not add any value in terms of medical advice and in helping you understand the different options and the pros and cons of them all. It is like going into a reproductive factory, the office setting and the initial processes feel very good for the first few visits and after a few months and $ 11,000 later - sorry you only had a 25% chance to begin with! At my initial consultation with Dr. Cekleniak I knew I made the right decision switching to her. She made me feel comfortable, diagnosed my issue right away, and wasn't forceful on treatment. She helped me decide what I wanted to do and she saw me through everything. She responded to emails and phone calls immediately and always gave me her honest opinion. Lupron is horrible, she should not be putting people on it. She knew nothing about HCG and bio-identical progesterone when I saw her. Anyone could read pharmacy literature, this kind of doctor should know more! A glucose tolerance test is fine, metformin helps many women get pregnant. But please! Learn more about HORMONES

Dr. Hughes and her staff were absolutely amazing. They were all so helpful and knowledgeable about what they do. they truly make peoples dreams come true. i would recommend them to any couple that is looking to start a family and is having difficulties.

I had a similar experience as the person who posted before me: Dr. Chen failed to tell me I was hypothyroid, nor suggest treatment for it. I'm not sure if she was aware of it but one of her partners had tested me for it and not told me my TSH was too high. In any case, Dr. Chen SHOULD be testing your thyroid and making sure you are treated for hypothyroid if applicable. She had me take a glucose tolerance test, which is far more involved and unusual. I so regret having wasted my time with her and IRMS. They have standard protocols to apply on everyone regardless of the diagnosis( don't think they do any diagnosis) and then then pass you on between doctors and it is one big trial and error. I find Dr. Cekleniak and her team very careless. There is no one person who you can go to with questions. Especially if you over 35 and have a cap on your insurance spend, I recommend you put on your running shoes and flee.

I felt that her professional interest in me rose and fell with the expense of the treatment I was having. In fact, her office assistant made it clear that IVF patients got appointments more quickly than IUI patients who had to wait several weeks longer for a follow up. I was at IRMS for a year and didn't get pregnant only to find out that I was hypothyroid when I requested my file.
