Ed (and Chris) installed a storm door today, corrected a problem with entrance door, lock, 1-7-08. Discussed future deck door, floor install. Ed is punctual, personable, reasonable, knowledgeable, efficient. I will be using his services again. Maddie, our Pug, liked him too. And she is picky with people she doesn't know. So I knew he was right person, glad I found him.

Highlights 1. Hughes was nice to accommodate my busy schedules and came over on a weekend to accomplish the work. 2. The installation of the storm door required some packing, which I had no prior idea but Hughes was considerate and reasonable in the price adjustment to perform the packing. 3. There were issues with the storm door itself, which Hughes adjusted very well to fit our requirements. 4. The job was done professionally & exceptionally well. 5. Ed Hughes was great. His estimate was reasonable/fair. He offered suggestions, at least in my case, if he thought it would bring/keep the cost down (why did I need a new inside basement door if I was installing new steel outside doors?....I didn't) or if he thought something was needed (could he install a new rain gutter while fixing the porch facia since the old one was in bad shape?). Very conscientious about his work and cleaned up afterwards
Only contractor to get back to me with a quote and a reasonable one at that. Does very nice/clean work and is very professional. Made suggestions that made a lot of sense and got everything done quickly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get work done.
Ed did a great job installing an airconditioner for us. He was on time, efficient, flexible, knowledgeable and polite. I'd recommend him and Hughes H. Im. to friends and family.
