I called to ask for a referral fr Dr. Huffmon's PA whom I had seen within the last 6 months. I recalled the PA (who was wonderful) mentioning a dr for pain management. The scheduler said no referral was in the notes that she could see and that I could schedule an appt to get a referral as it had been 6 mo's. ( barely, my last visit was May5) When I asked her if she would ask the PA, she said 'absolutely not, Have a nice day' and HUNG UP ON ME! I will never visit this practice again.

I called to set up appointment with Dr. Huffmon for possible surgery on my spine and a appointment was made with Maria. I was advised that I had to have an MRI before I saw the doctor. and I quote "Dr. Huffmon won't see anyone without MRI and xrays. I complied and had that all that done at Delaney Radiologists. When I returned visit with Maria, I was told Dr. Huffmon wouldn't operate on me because of my age being 89 years old. MY COMPLAINT IS I HAD TO PAY dELANEY $180. PLUS WHATEVER MEDICARE PAYMENT WAS FOR NO REASON AT ALL.... read more
At our initial visit we did not see Dr. Huffmon. We saw a team member who advised us we needed special x-rays before the doctor would look at the MRI and CT scan. We waited for 3 weeks for a follow up appointment. At the follow-up (1:15 p.m.) we waited about 2 hours (3 p.m.) to see the doctor. Offered no apology for the long wait. He saw nothing he would correct by surgery--but had no advice except to return to Pain Management (we have been in pain management for almost 2 years with no success.) Dr. Huffmon is an incredible surgeon. Before my back surgery, I could barely walk and my pain level was at least an 8.5. After surgery, my pain level is about a two and I'm walking further everyday. I honestly feel at least 20 years younger thanks to Dr. Huffmon. Can't wait for my followup appointment to get the okay to start surfing again! If you are feeling any back pain, please don't hesitate to get a referral to see Dr. Huffmon and his wonderful staff!!
After seven years of back pain, coming and going without warning, Dr. Huffmon put and end to this "wolf in my back yard". The "wolf" has been relocated somewhere else. The surgery was the solution after physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, and injections. No to say that these worked for some time but I now feel that this solution has been successful, thanks to Dr. Huffmon and his Team.
My visit was on time and everyone was friendly and professional. I would recommend your office from my experience and my surgery was successful. Thank you.
Dr. Huffmon recently implanted the Novid HF10 Spinal Cord Stimulator in my back. The prep, anesthesia, recovery, and surgery surpassed all expectations. After committing to the 7/8 week rehab period, I was cleared by Dr. Huffmon to resume normal daily activities. The HF10 Stimulator has relieved 65/70% of my pain. Yes, I would recommend Dr. Huffmon, and the Nevro H10, for anyone looking for long term relief of chronic back and leg pain.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Huffmon to anyone who needs spinal surgery! Without exception, he is a highly experienced, brilliant surgeon. He explains medical terminology in language that you can understand and he has a great sense of humor too! His entire staff is to be commended as well for being extremely professional, dependable, friendly and helpful
I had suffered a work related fall completely rupturing my L4/L5 disc. Unhappy with the local Ortho MDs treatment plan (& the ortho spine doc going on vacation the day after he planned to do my surgery...not good for me if there were an emergency following), I contacted Dr Huffmon's nurse to see if I could get in emergently.
