Had my turbo BRZ tuned by another reputable tuner and wasn't satisfied with their work. James did an awesome job. Very thorough and quick to respond. Definitely would recommend him to anyone needing a tune.
Having had poor experiences etuning my previous car (Fiesta ST), I was hesitant to give etuning a shot again. Local tuners either had mixed reviews or were fairly inexperienced on the 86 platform. Car hasn't skipped a beat since boosting! Absolute best choice in tuner.
Excellent tune and exceptional support. James is incredibly thorough, and readily available to happily answer all questions (even my foolish ones). Prior to HRI Tuning, I had purchased three different tunes for my vehicle, all from highly-praised, reputable vendors. Each one had confounding issues that were not able to be resolved, even after dozens of revisions with certain vendors. So I recently made the jump to EcuTek after a few weeks of picking James's brain. 5/5 would do it all over again. I was running an OFT with its wonky E85 tune and it ran ok but I felt like it had more in it. Switched to EcuTek and went back to 93 for the time being and it's the best the car has ever run. Super smooth from idle to redline. No idle walk. The car is just eager to get going in every gear now. Honestly feels as strong now as it did on the halfway E85 setup I was originally running. I just had a simple NA tune done but it was painless and quick. The car runs strong, great mid range, and noticeably more powerful than the OFT especially on e85. He is a very knowledgeable and laid back guy with tons of experience with the FA20. Highly recommend!
