Online Scam. Used the online filing service to file jointly with my wife. Hoping to e-file like we have in past years and use the "pay with my refund" option. I had my taxes prepared at the H & R Block at *****, ****. My taxes were done incorrectly and received a notice from the Indiana *** stating my taxes were done incorrectly. had to pay the **** *** and the *************** Tax 2 times, and now have to pay the Indiana *** $73.19 in penalties and interest, instead of getting $351.00 refund. I could have **** up my taxes doing it myself instead of paying $265 to these people to mess them up. I feel that I should receive back some compensation for their mistakes.******* *.
I submitted my small business taxes to ******* ****** at the H&R Block at ******************************************* at 2p on March 12th, 2021. I made an in person appointment for 10:00 AM on Apr 02, 2021 at the ********** **************************************************** H&R Block location. This tax season was my first experience with * and R Block. I was very disappointed. First of all I was given an appointment with someone who was not a tax expert (receptionist) who was also not even there, thus my appointment was not honored. Needless to say this brought frustration and angst from the start. My tax preparer ******* ****** FAILED TO: file my taxes as I requested, communicate effectively with me despite my MANY efforts, and treat me as a valued customer. She made a mistake that has had adverse effects on my finances and although she admits it was her error, she has refuses to take any steps to make it right or even apologize. Can I give 0 stars? The H&R Block software is dated and not user-friendly. After about 6 hours of tedious data entry, we completed our Federal and State returns, and clicked to add "Professional Review," for safe measure. However, once we added the $80 feature to our cart and realized that the "Professional Review" would not cover the stock sales on our Return, we immediately decided to delete that feature and have another CPA firm review the taxes.
