I DO not RECOMMEND ANYONE to go to the H&R Block tax prep office for "PROFESSIONAL" tax help! Reasons: 1) The tax analyst that I was assigned to, "********" would not let me see the screen for me to verify what she was typing on my tax return.2) A plaque by her desk stated she had over 28 YEARS EXPERIENCE @ H&R Block as a tax analyst! She had to ask questions to the adjacent tax analyst to her for answers to questions, in my opinion, she should know!3) I was charged $249 for MY TAXES TO BE PREPARED! H&R Block LOST my 2020 tax return that they were supposed to e-file in April of 2020. They just dont know what happened to it. The *** never got it. It shows up in the branchs system, but corporate has no history of it.

H&R Block in ********** ******** is by worse one of the worst office's I have ever been in. I went to file my taxes and was told I would get back ******. They didn't know how to enter my **** in the system. Did not have a manager on site to even help. I had to tell them to delete my info out of their systems and I would go else where. Went to a total different place and am getting back over ********. I understand that tax businesses are busy but this was ridiculous. TL;DR: You're literally better off going anywhere else to do your taxes than HR Block.How HR Blocked charged me twice to do my taxes once So I filed my 2019 tax return through HR Block. They messed something up and now it is 2022 and still no tax return. I had to hire ANOTHER CPA to call the **** write the **** to figure out what was happening. I just completed my taxes online with H&R Block. When reviewing the forms, I noticed that there was a$40 Campaign Finance voluntary contribution on my ************** return. I did not authorize this contribution. I was not asked if I wanted to make this contribution. It just mysteriously showed up on my *** return. Then, I had difficulty even finding the section to correct the issue. When I found it, the field for Campaign Finance contribution was blank. H&R Block STOLE my $1,800 economic impact payment and will not return it to me! Called numerous times and spoke to numerous employees. Got transferred back and forth with zero assistance. Finally found one employee who would actually attempt to resolve the situation only to learn that H&R Block changed banks and claims to have no record of where the payment went--even though the *** website clearly shows their bank records. I spent hours trying to get all of ky info correct. I paid 89$ and supposedly had a pro review my taxes. I was sent messages saying she is doing them then they are accepted. Only to have her write me and tell me she had not not done my return for 2021. I am so confused. Does this mean the *** will send them back because there is an error? Awful! I began filing my return online, free, and before finishing decided I would go in and file so I could get a refund advancement. I made it clear from the moment I sat down that the $3,500 advancement was the only reason I was there and throughout what would be a 3 hour process to do what had taken me a half hour myself online. I was asked what my credit score was and told I was good. H&R Block in ****** customer service *****.A man there filed out taxes and put in an amount wrong?When I called the manager she said it was human error.So I paid $399 for a professional tax person to make an human error.
