My state 2019 tax returns were never filed through the Geneva, ** office. I didn't know this until I filed my 2020 tax returns this year. When I was told there might be a fine, I then called the customer service hotline to file a complaint. The gentleman on the phone bluntly told me to not expect a call back from his supervisor, as this is happening more times than not. I needed an Amendment filed due to being overtaxed from Tuition grant assistance tax. I was supposed to be credited $79.98 on 3/31/21 for a fraudulent transactions on my card and I have a letter stating it would be there and still I haven't received the credit they have lied to me and hung up on me they they are very unprofessional at * and R customer service I just want what is mine nothing more and I am seriously thinking of putting a lawsuit against them for lying and fraud "

I went for the first time on my own to file my taxes and the man who was assigned to help me straight up told me to not to waste his time multiple times. My parents claim me every year since I'm very much dependent on them.He told me I couldn't file my taxes unless they don't claim me. Which I know was a lie since I've filed my taxes with H&R block in years past, and there was no issue. Negligent and unprofessional. We have been an H&R Block customer for 20+ years. Had the same tax preparer for 10+ years. We had an appt on March 27. Go in and she said she thought we were a phone appt and didnt have time for us. Well, if we were scheduled a time slot why wasnt there time? Said she would follow up at the end of the week. Last year our local Block group did not do what they could to save us money on taxes. They did not ask for forms regarding a trust, or file any information we gave them on it. We were notified months later that the forms were not there, then fined a huge late fee. This year, my son and I took his taxes to them, hoping for better results. Not only were we treated in a rude manner, and talked down to, but the guy didn't know what he was doing! He has been at this for 30+ years, but kept having to ask for help! I contacted this ******************** by telephone regarding an *** form W-7 and was placed on hold for them to verify that the acceptance agent was available. I was told that she was available and they scheduled an appointment for 3:00pm. I asked what documents we needed to bring for the acceptance agent, whom I was given the name of.I arrived with the forms requested and spoke with the person that was identified as the acceptance agent. They called me to tell my to add my stimulus to my return. I said I am getting it this Friday in the mail. The lady told me that no one gets gov checks in the mail and that if I waited past that day I would have to wait 10 weeks for a ammended return. Or have them add it in. Worst case *** give me extra stimulus and I have to send it back or they dont. She guaranteed me it wouldn't be a issue. Now I have to wait until june for my taxes... Over 5 months! This place needs to be shut down look at all these reviews"

***** COMPANY! I filled with them for a couple years and have had no issues. This year I was expecting $1120 back for my tax refund. I filled on Feb 4. I am just now getting it on April 14th but I am only getting $359.02 back. Apparently H&R Block's system didn't send it correctly so I was only supposed to get $520 and the H&R Block charged me $160.98 for filling with them.
