Worst staff and doctors every been waiting month on paperwork to be sign by them i call no answer leave multiple messages then I go up there then they say the doctor is on vacation won't be back for two weeks mind you it's been a month going on two
I've been waiting for them to call in a referral for me to get an MRI for weeks now. I've left multiple messages. I've sat on hold for extended periods of time. I can't get my MRI or move forward with treating my injury until they call in the preauthorization. I should have gone anywhere else.
From my 9-month journey of broken ankle and healing at Howard University Hospital in 2022-2023. The EXCELLENT: Surgeon Shelton A. McKenzie, MD. He is brilliant and open-minded. The other EXCELLENT: Doctors, resident physicians, specialists, interns, staffs, and nurses in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Department of Anesthesia, and in the Emergency Room. This is one of the worst hospitals you can go to. Please do not come here unless you want to die in the emergency room. I came here because I needed a doctor to take a look at my injured knee. 10 hrs of waiting in the emergency room and i left with just discharge papers, they did not provide me with a brace or crutches. I scheduled an appt with an ortho doctor at this hospital and they ended up canceling my appt b/c THEY never sent my insurance a request for an MRI. You have ONE JOB and you cant even do that? Just the absolute worst care. Impossible to reach the department, doctors don't call you back when they say they will, staff is incompetent and rude. Go somewhere else, literally anywhere else, and don't make the mistake of coming here.
