Contrary to my request the doctor didn't attempt to find the root cause of problem but only suggested taking expensive & hard to swallow over-the-counter medication vs what I was taking, just to control the symptoms. I was very disappointed.
An AMAZING professional with an outstanding staff! He provides a higher level of health care with the latest technology and an old-fashion touch that so many people desire! Initially my mom had an appointment with him and I choose to see him as well. He is extremely compassionate, caring and so detail oriented and thorough. We were so very fortunate to have found him. He never rushes the appointment time and his staff is ever so accommodating! You will absolutely love this doctor!
This specialty practice is what every consumer wants their healthcare experience to be. Clean, modern office; professional, courteous staff; and top tier providers. The scheduling/office team (Kelly, in particular) was most accommodating when I needed to schedule an urgent appointment. Dr. Sonderling was reassuring, honest, and very responsive to my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this group!
There are three aspects to yesterday's appointment that i can point to as exceptional service, treatment & follow-up: 1) My wait time was a respectable 12 minutes 2) Dr. Sonderling spent time with me: learning, listening carefully and not rushing me. 3) He didn't suggest a lot of testing, that I believe other docs might have 4) What I appreciated above all is that the staff (Kelly C, Mora, John) as wells as Dr. S. are the nicest, happiest, warmest professionals around.
Michael Jordan of GI docs. If my life was on the line and I needed a GI doctor this is the person I would use everyday and twice on Sunday. If I had something minor this is the doctor I would use he is the complete package. Talent, bedside manners, and going the extra mile for every patient that is what he does. Dr Sonderling is one of the best doctor's I have been to. He is compassionate, caring and besides that he comes quickly to a diagnosis. He listens to you and does not rush you out of the office.

Excellent communication skill and care for patient. Conservative approach to diagnosis and treatment, with thoughtful follow-up. No unnecessary procedures or tests, coordinates with patient's other physicians. Office staff efficient and friendly. I have recommended Dr. Sonderling to others and have no hesitation in doing so.
