It was fantastic! They have made the huge move look so effortless. I was worried about moving because I and my wife have accrued a ton of stuff in last 30 years and I thought it’s going to be expensive. But the rep Ricky came out and gave me a quote that proved me wrong and beat out their competitors in the market by a good margin. Houston first movers was responsible for the easiest move of my life. The crew of four men worked so efficiently for 3 hours packing up my 3-bedroom apartment. I believe their speed have saved me a lot of money. I sometimes wonder if their movers put up a face or if they are really that friendly! Either way, my possessions were safely delivered to my new apartment. The men even offered to assemble the furniture for me. Last month I employed Houston first movers for my parents move as they decided to relocate at our home town to spend rest of their lives at our old house. Though it was hard for me to let my parents leave my house at this age, but I thought of respecting their emotion. I hired Houston First movers to unload my container on Saturday, August 1st 2015. The crea was scheduled to show up at 9-10am but came at 6 pm instead. They also broke my entrance light while moving furniture which my son alerted me after they left. Also the owner Ricky stole mt hand truck. I saw them drive away with it and alerted them right away to return it. I was promised he would return it for the the last 3 days but he decided to steal it. I will file a police report against them tomorrow ! Do not hire this company!
I have read some reviews where people complained about moving companies using too much packing materials adding extra money to the final bill. Some people even said that although most movers are efficient, their packing skills are not up to the mark. So, when I was moving, I decided to take some matters into my own hands. We are no newbies to relocation and our experiences with moving companies have always been less than great. They have always promised us easy and efficient moves but their men are never well prepared or skillful. I have a lot of stuffs and so I was quite stressed out when I had to relocate from a 3 bed room apt to another 4 bed apt. One of my friends suggested that I hire Houston first movers. I did some research on them and they seemed to have a good reputation. When I called them, the man on the line was very friendly and gave me a very reasonable quote. My son and his girlfriend moved yesterday. The crew from this company was amazing. Arrived on time, loaded up everything, helped box and wrap many items with both efficiency and care, then went to second location to pick-up more items, then carted all two flights of stairs. Nothing was damaged and they were super fast, polite, neat and wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend Houston first movers.
To echo the other 1 star review, all these 5 star reviews are falsified. Houston First Movers is an absolute terrible moving company. They were not on time to my destination for relatively short move. In fact, they were two days late. Horrible communication. I called over a dozen times just to get Ricky to give me an update on their status. Turned out that they had not even left Houston when they should've been at the destination...all along without communicating with me.
