Zero stars would be better. They are still in business sadly (2018) I won't tell my story, but it was bad. My bank was involved because Ricky was not complaint at all, but when my bank got ahold of the company they were untruthful about letting me know how to file a claim. Pure lies my bank did not buy it. I provided everything I had and won my dispute. I was not having it. How do mess up a mattress? A one bedroom move and everything I owned was damaged. Smh. Horrible moving company, the owner Ricky is completely shady and unethical! Our movers were supposed to show up at 9am and came an hour and a half late! The movers did a great job making sure our stuff was packaged well for the move! Overall the process went smoothly until payment terms were discussed! Our movers said we had to pay cash for them and the rest must be paid via credit card with Ricky! This is the worst moving company ever. Do not use them. There is not one positive thing I can say about them.
The movers were scheduled and verified to show up between 8:00 and 10:00 am. When the movers were not there by 10:00, I call the owner, Ricky, who said they were on their way. By 11:30 when they still had not shown up, I called again. Ricky said they were just getting into the truck and about to leave. Interesting response since last call “they were on their way”. I’ve never been more dissatisfied with a service business. Ricky is dishonest. Do not believe anything he says and do not use this company.
Words can’t describe just how bad Houston First Movers are. Every they did was bad. Do not use this company.
I never post anything negative about companies, I only post positive reviews. But I could not find one positive thing about Houston First Movers. I used them because they responded quickly, but that is where your responsiveness ended. They were extremely late picking up my furniture and delivering my furniture to my new house. Everything was unorganized and some of my furniture was scratched and dented. I would absolutely not recommend this company.
