Keep up the good work!!! – I have been to too many thai restaurants all over SoCal and beyond. I have never once seen any of their waitresses as beautiful as the ones they have here at Chan Dara Larchmont!!! :-) They are all so nice! Our server came with a smile and promptly taking our orders. The food was so great! We had Seafood Soup which was so huge portion and the whole catfish you can feed a whole family! I was so shock! :-) Moreover I can't believe it they didn't even use the MSG here unlike Nathalee and other thai pl... read more
excellent dinner and over all dining experience – I had dinner with 7 of my friends on mother's day and I have to say that it was absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the lobster salad and the green curry linguini with shrimp and scallops. The whole fried catfish rivals that of Chinois, at a fraction of the cost. For dessert we had the mango with sticky coconut rice and we all loved it. I've been coming here for years and i have to say that I've never been dissapointed. The servers are always friendly and sweet. The ... read more
This is just a below average restaurant – The foods are ok but the prices are expensive compare to its quality and taste. The service was just an average. It took us forever to get the check. I would not come back the restaurant again.
worst service i'd experienced in years – We had dinner reservations for 6 for my rommate's bday dinner. We arrived early and the hostess kept interrupting us as we waited for our table to be set, and tried to get us to order early from the menu -- wtf? It's a sit down restaurant, not a corner deli during lunch hour. We ordered drinks and my gf's glass was broken, so I asked for it to be replaced, which the waitress promptly forgot about. Our soup came out, and she spattered it everywhere as she served it, as she was clearly ... read more
Amazing... of course – this place is the sh*t. =]. ........ .......... ........ ......... ...... ........ ....... .........
This place is AMAZING! – Chandara is AMAZING. The catfish with curry and cocunut cream is delicious as well as ALL of the soups. I love Thai Food and this place is it...I have also taken several thai friends and they also love it. I would recommend Chandar to anyone with an experienced palate and a love of all things Thai.
Nice ambiance, but not much else to recommend – If you're going out for Thai food strictly for the atmosphere, maybe Chan Dara is your place. But if you're going for high quality food and good service, you'd be better off somewhere else. Their mediocre food was considerably more expensive than superior Thai restaurants, especially veggie egg rolls that tasted like they had freezer burn. When we complained, they didn't even take it off the bill. It also took us over a half hour to even get our appetizer, which was followed im... read more
Not a bad choice for Thai food – I don't enjoy going to Thai Town very much and Chan Dara is not a bad place for me to kill my urge for having Thai food once in a while. It's a bit pricey but potion is big so it's a fair deal in the end. I had the Chan Dara fried rice which was very good and it must have been done with some kind of secret recipe, plus a Stir fried shrimp w/ basil which was not bad. Service was good and the environment is much better compared to those restaurants in Thai Town.
Yummy – This Place has it all. Great food, beautigul ambiance (including the waitresses), and good service. Highly recommend the sea food p-thai, beef Kabob, black sea bass, crispy salmon, and the any of their desserts.
