I picked up my glasses yesterday, wore them for two hours and found the frames uncomfortable. As such, I attempted to return them in-store the next day for a refund. I presented the glasses and receipt, and was told they could no do a return because the two employees present "didn't know how". I asked if I could go to a different store to process the return and I was told I could not. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable as well as an unethical business practice.

Do not use this location at the *********** ****in **. I was leaving work and thought I'd be a couple minutes late so called to see if was still ok to go...they said NO PROBLEM so I drove through rush-hour traffic. I got there and the receptionist said I was too late and I have to reschedule (I was 10 minute late). I mentioned my call to confirm and she said. "too bad, you need to reschedule" So much for customer service AND holding to their agreement to take me a bit late!!!

So i guess it starts with a bad experience all the way around. I bought the extended protection plan for an extra 90$. The company misplaced my warranty after purchase. I also paid for a anti-glare coating which has bubbled and peeled from the inside of the lenses. So upon trying to get them repaired under the warranty i purchased i was told that i would receive no help. I had to pull bank statements as well as receipts to prove that i had indeed purchased a warranty. They were completely rude and told me they did not need m... read more

VisionWorks said that processing a claim for an eye exam with 2 insurances would not be a problem. I got a bill from their corporate office for the exam. The corporate office refused to discuss it with me or even receive information on how to correctly process the claim despite the fact that I am the one who filled out all of the paperwork at their local office. They also refused to call the local office to verify that I filled out the paperwork. I called the local office and was told that it is illegal to have 2 insurances ... read more

I went to my local visionworks to purchase glasses, as they advertise that they accept my insurance. After I selected my frames and presenting my prescription I was given a price.I was told I was fully covered by my insurance and had both frames and lens coverage. I would only have to pay $30 for the frames and the difference between single vision lenses and bifocals. I was told my final price was $489.97.I remarked how it was much higher than last years. I was told by the salesman the it was the same price as last year's pa... read more

I am getting older and have been having trouble reading small print and the computer monitor. Unfortunately I spend most of my day at work in front of the computer and have to read manuals. Over two years ago I visited the following Visionworks store to get a prescription for eyeglasses: Mount Vernon Plaza 7702 Richmond Hwy, Ste H Alexandria, VA 22306 ###-###-#### The Optometrist on site that performed the examination was Ms. Joanne N***** I explained to her that I only needed a prescription to help me read as it was getting... read more

Visited the Visionworks (VW) shop in Sarasota, FL after learning from a television commercial VW offers a money-saving campaign: "buy one pair of glasses at regular price and receive a second pair at no additional cost". Sounded like a great deal, but I was grossly misled. Selected a pair of glasses for $99. My subtotal was nearly $450 (approximately $350 for one pair of glasses & $80 for eye exam). While the VW sales women informed me many customer pay more, I have never paid over $400 for an eye exam and a pair of prescrip... read more

Business response:

Here at Visionworks, we take the satisfaction of our customers very seriously and continuously strive to ensure all customers feel welcome and taken care of. It is unfortunate this particular customer feels misled by one of our current promotions in the Florida area, Buy One Get One Free. We feel this promotion is very straight forward. Buy 1 complete pair of glasses (frames and lenses at regular retail price) and receive the 2nd complete pair at no additional cost. The cost of frames and lenses can vary dependent on what ty... read more
