Absolutely beautiful! Gardens are lovely, staff is nice and the lunch at Burnside Cafe was delicious. The only reason I can't give it a 5 star is because there is NO baby changing table anywhere! Umm are small children not welcome?
While you may just spend an hour or so at other plantation tours along the Mississippi, plan to spend an afternoon at Houmas House. Your admission to Houmas House Plantation and Gardens includes not only a very informative (and in my case, hilarious) home tour, but also access to the grounds for as long as the gates remain open! There are also several restaurants and a bar. The gardens are quite impressive.
During the recent flood in Louisiana a young girl was desperate to call her boss at Houmas house to inform him that she was flooded. Her boss didn't care and wanted to know when she would make it in. disgusting Houmas house.
Houmas House and Gardens has a 4.7 star rating with 4,236 reviews.
Houmas House and Gardens is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
