Trust me folks. If you haven't been, you should. Houmas House is beautifully restored and contains amazing treasures from the past that have wonderful history. The grounds are relaxing and are an eclectic mix of old and new, but tastefully done. Restaurants and meals are top notch, and the gift shop also has an impressive library. The Inn rooms are modernly appointed, comfortable, and quiet since they are located on the North part of the estate. Will be back often.
Absolutely the best pork chop I've ever had. There eggplant with the crabmeat is really good too.
The property is beautiful. The food is terrific. A great place for a wedding or party.
Was the best tour we've taken. House and gardens so lovely and our tour guide was fabulous. We ate in one of the restaurants and enjoyed the food. As locals we've toured many of the local plantations, this has been our favorite.
This is one of my favorite places to visit - the grounds and house are beautiful - the food is always outstanding and very generous portions - the people are friendly and knowledgeable - put it on your must see list!
