I was able to stay at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin during SXSW 2025. This is my first time staying at this hotel as I have seen it before from various times I would pass by walking to Rainey Street. I decided to stay with my partner for 2 nights during weekend 2 of SXSW 2025. Such a clean hotel, very cute, all the staff were friendly, & honestly can’t beat all the complimentary services offered. Beds were comfortable, margaritas strong & delicious, vines immaculate. Just be wary of all the construction happening around (not at) the hotel. It didn’t bother us at all but it was unexpected. Already booked my next stay!
If you want to stay in a downtown hotspot with elegant interiors, large glass windows with river views, and be treated like a celebrity...choose your hotel wisely...Hotel Van Zandt was such a lovely experience over the last weekend of SXSW. We attended free concerts within 5 minutes walk, waked the riverside trails, and visited Raine Street right aroudn the corner. The front desk staff like Colton are jsut so nice!! Lots of construction near the hotel right now. However, the location was very good for us to explore downtown Austin. They have a beautiful bar area in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was that we did not get housekeeping during our 3 night stay. However, the front desk was very responsive to our request for fresh towels. I would stay here again.
We were celebrating our anniversary and were so impressed with this hotel. Staff was friendly and laid back. We were very comfortable. Sound machine in the rooms was perfect since we forgot ours. Location was great for everything we did. We will definitely be back.
