We had an incredible experience with our stay over the weekend. Every single staff we encountered was so friendly and accommodating! Even at 5am leaving to go the airport, the staff went out of their way to assist us with a smile to get the door and bags. Those details always go a long way. The location is within walking distance to many things. It is beautifully decorated throughout the entire hotel and wish we had more time to spend here!

I was able to stay at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin during SXSW 2025. This is my first time staying at this hotel as I have seen it before from various times I would pass by walking to Rainey Street. I decided to stay with my partner for 2 nights during weekend 2 of SXSW 2025. Since being sold a few years ago the hotel has taken a turn for the worse. What used to be an upscale and elegant experience has become mediocre, partially because the area around the hotel has changed but mostly because they don't value the customer experience anymore. I have stayed here many times for a weekend in Austin and loved it, after this most recent stay I won't be returning. Too many other hotels in the same price range that make an effort to ensure their guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.

Such a clean hotel, very cute, all the staff were friendly, & honestly can’t beat all the complimentary services offered. Beds were comfortable, margaritas strong & delicious, vines immaculate. Just be wary of all the construction happening around (not at) the hotel. It didn’t bother us at all but it was unexpected. Already booked my next stay!
