We recently returned to Hotel Van Zandt for a special weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. Having stayed here before and created wonderful memories, it felt like the perfect place to revisit — and it did not disappoint. We took advantage of the Summer Splash special, which included credits for the Pool Bar and Brass Poppy. The service at Hotel Van Zandt was 10/10! Everyone I interacted with at the hotel was extremely friendly and attentive. They made my 2 night stay so enjoyable! I didn’t dine on property but I did use the pool and have drinks at the bar outside. There weren’t servers (and if there were, they never checked on anyone in the pool or on the lounge chairs) so I did have to exit the pool to get refills but other than that, I have no complaints. We love this hotel! We are local and picked it for our little staycation. We love the aesthetic of it, it's very cool and very Austin. There are multiple bars and a good restaurant. Nice pool, did not have any issues getting lounge chairs at 1pm on a Saturday. They also very happily let us bring our pet bird.
Phenomenal place. The staff has been nothing but kind and welcoming. The hotel is gorgeous and extremely clean. The location is perfect and close to so many things! Love the cruelty free products in the rooms! Great snack options on the mini bar and reasonably priced!
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was kind and accommodating. However, the construction was awful and the pool parties/events did not let us enjoy and relax by the pool as much as we wanted. We did not have hot water on the last two days of our stay. An engineer came up right away to try to fix it and it did get a little better. The cold water at the front desk was amazing and we loved borrowing the bikes from the hotel.
