In beautiful La Jolla, this luxury hotel provides all the natural and man-made amenities for both business and holiday travelers. A short walk takes you to the Pacific shoreline where fine shops and top-notch restaurants abound. The over-sized rooms have been decorated by designer Cheryl Rowley of Beverly Hills and each has its own style and color scheme. Garden or beach view rooms are available, as are four master suites. The 11th-floor Clay's restaurant offers live jazz and a great view of the Pacific.

Not impressed at all. Expected to pay typical high room rate BUT $37 a day to park and $14.99 a day for wi-fi. Crappy in room coffee maker and they wouldn't hand over more than 4 packets of sugar at a time. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Put on the second floor with no view... Please!!! I have stayed at nicer hotels, paid less had all the amenities plus free breakfast. The front desk boys where rude and didn't have a clue about customer service. We will not return again.

The inside and outside bars are always empty and there is no music inside or outside. You would think with the view from the inside bar, they would learn to market themselves better. The outside bar should have soft classical music or soft pop music, as well as a good happy hour, in the evenings. It is wasted space the way it is now.
If you want a great hotel to be in La Jolla - this is it! oceans views, great decor. Ask them be away from Torrey Pines Rd and above the 8th floor if you want less noise and better views. Restaurant at the top of the hotel is great!
