I spent 2 nights at this hotel to attend meetings in DC. For the location, the price is reasonable. It is an older building but I thought that the room was clean and well appointed. The bathroom was large and had both a stand up shower and a separate bathtub. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel wifi was free and worked well. The biggest disappointment was the "24-hour" valet parking. We arrived back at the hotel one night at 1:30am. The staff told us there were no spots left and made no effort to help us find alternatives, responding rudely and offering no guidance despite the hotel's advertised service. Making matters worse, the front desk attendant was wearing headphones—either on a personal call or listening to music—and seemed more interested in getting back to his personal affairs than offering help. Wonderful staff! From checking in to requesting a late check out, incredibly helpful staff! Marcel and Sydney stand out as two shining stars, but everyone I encountered was professional, friendly, and helpful. You'll feel welcomed here!
I wasn't sure about 3 or 4 stars, but the service was really friendly and the location was great - it was just the overall upkeep of the place that turned me off. It wasn't dirty or anything, but it was the finishes and details that you could see really haven't been paid any attention to or investment in. I'd stay here again, but it would not be my first choice. Just expected a bit more.
This hotel is labeled as a 4 start hotel and it falls short. The staff was great I’ll just say! Rooms are tiny and run down. Peeling wallpaper and damaged walls. No card scanner to use the the elevator, which is a little unsettling when it’s right in DC and traveling as a single female for work.
