Second trip to Hot Tails was tonight on our way home from LSU baseball. The crab cake croissant was fantastic and had the perfect amount of that incredible spillway remoulade. I'd give 5 stars, but with the exception of the hostess taking the orders at the register and one other waitress, not a single member of the waitstaff was welcoming or inviting. One of the best 18 oz steaks I have had in a while , it was cooked perfect , and was a very quality cut of meat . Excellent !!!!
We went with a group of friends on Sunday. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal !! It was delicious !!! We will definately return !!!
This was the fifth time I have been here but the first time they had crayfish. Without a doubt, the best crayfish I have ever had, they were prepared perfect! Out of three (3) pounds, I used my fingers to get the the tail meat out twice. To people that eat mud bugs you know what I am talking about. I am a Floridian, who certainly not as experienced as these locals, I really thought I was doing something wrong. Other local places I have recently got crayfish, you have to work hard to get the meat out of the tails.
The entrees were very good, but above all, the two appetizers we got were over-the-top great! We got the loaded fries and the Cajun Crawfish Boulettes . Wow! Fantastic!
My husband and I ate there today for the first time and it won't be the last! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and brought to us in a timely manner. Not only is the food great, the staff are super friendly and attentive.
