Fried shrimp was the best I’ve ever eaten. Wait staff were very friendly and we got good service. My complaint and only a “good” review is due to lack of friendliness or no interaction from manager. My husband and I drove from Lake Charles because of the recent TV show featuring Hot Tails and because of the great customer service we received at Sac a Laits in New Orleans. Do they have a new cook??? We frequent Hot Tails & I have to say hands down, whoever the chef was on Tuesday, November 21st...HORRID!!! I ordered the Gulf Platter & had the worst soft shell crab I've ever had in my life! Grease was dripping from the food & it tasted like old, nasty grease & the French fries were cold. Actually, my husband & I both got sick by the time we got home---seriously!
It was ok. Didn’t have crab claws or oysters. Sad. Had fried rabbit Was mostly batter and maybe the rabbit was bugs bunny. Very little meat May try it again in 5 years
