My brother in law had surgery there yesterday. Everyone and everything was wonderful. Very clean and friendly hospital atmosphere. Especially loved Ms Brown in Holding area and Ms Dana with PT. These two went above and beyond and are a great asset to your facility. Dr Rowan was the surgeon and was excellent and never made us feel rushed , and answered all questions thoroughly. Very much appreciate this hidden gem near to B’ham. I will definitely recommend this facility to my friends and family.
We received the absolute best care from the moment we checked in until the time we were discharged. I highly recommend Dr Ahmed and his team!!
UAB Medical West is not for everybody. I was in the ER for a day. They were nor very attended to myself. I call for my nurse and she never call . Because they never told her. But I'm now in ICU on they 4th floor. And they have been amazing. And by this being a new hospital I thought it would be clearer then what it is. They cleaning person had not been doing her job at all. She emptied the trash and that all. The bathroom where horrible(nasty). I'm so disappointed with this new hospital.
I had two procedures done in cath lab. Arrived on time and was taken to prep area about 10-15 minutes later. Took quite awhile for several nurses to get IV access on me because of my difficult veins. Staff was very apologetic and sympathetic about having to stick me so much. Assured them I was okay with it.
