RecommendedMy mom called Hospice of Acadiana 2 days ago for my dad who has cancer and is getting weaker by the day. Momma met with the Hospice lady yesterday at 1:00. Within 6 hours of her meeting with them, she had a wheelchair and oxygen for him. Within 12 hours he had morphine. Today is the first day my dad has said he didn’t feel pain in several weeks. Of course, he is still weak and not eating but the weight that has been lifted off my mom’s shoulders is great.
Awesome people, caring for mind, body and spirit. Don’t wait to enter Hospice care!
The loss of my mother is still recent, and I’m still processing the experience... but I cannot say enough good things about this organization. To call them compassionate would be an understatement. My mother could be a bit difficult during her final stages, and not once did they ever shy away from giving her the full dignity, respect, and care she deserved. I could not have asked for a better support team from Hospice of Acadiana when it came to my godfather's care. From Kelli Guidroz Mistric to Rachal Mickaliger and Katie Porche, you ALL made this such a beautiful right of passage for someone who is so dear to my heart, but most importantly, an anchor to his family!! Your organization recently cared for my brother, Beldin Pellerin. We were familiar with your group because they had cared for my mother many years ago. The staff were very nice and patient with my family. The nurse was very sweet and understanding when helping take care of my mom (Lucy Guidry) during her passing time. So thankful for the time spent in the care of Hospice.
Love the staff. So wonderful with my husband. Very caring organization.
