Was visiting LA from DC for Thanksgiving. A grillmaster friend of mine in VA recommended the place. I ordered ribs pulled pork and coleslaw to feed 12 people. Everything was excellent. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. The brisket was tender and succulent. All 12 people agreed to a person that it was some of the best ribs they’ve ever had. If you’re in LA this is a must. I packed three ribs for my flight home to DC. When I got home I polished them off and they were just as good as the the day before
Have you spare ribs really tasty a little too much bark though but they were real moist get the smoke I don't put BBQ sauce on sauce on it have it on the side coleslaw is really good cornbread the baked all good
Their meat was way too salty. These 4 and 5 star rating people must not have had good BBQ before.
Great brisket but portions are small for the price. But that's the cost of LA political interference in market pricing.
Pulled pork sandwich and banana pudding were delicious! ���
From one Texan to another. Living in Austin, I have eaten at Salt Lick, County Line, and none other than one of the best BBQ joints in the country, Franklin. Horse Thief BBQ is by far the best BBQ I've eaten in California. I'm done trying other places in Cali. Horse Thief is my go to spot for good BBQ.

It was good but the cornbread was hard and ribs were a dry tables were dirty ! And they ran out of soft drinks 😖
