We hired Horizon Construction to demolish our 1950’s kitchen and construct a brand new one. From the beginning they were up front and professional. They came out to bid the job, but when they gave me a price they said that if I did not sign up with them THAT NIGHT then the price would go up by close to 10%, even if it was the following morning. I explained that I did not do business that way. Weeks later I asked if they would honor their original price and they quoted me a price that was 15% higher than the original price.

I called for appointment after reading reviews: Met with Horizon on January 12, 2016, at least an hour, will be giving me an estimate Jan. 23, I called office Mgr. Anna to ask why I had not heard back from them, told he was working on other projects to and she would check with him, ask to be called for update. We came to Horizon with a home that was in poor shape and needed not only remodeling, but also major infrastructure repair and updates, such as piping, wiring, A/C and heating, etc. Horizon was proactive in advising us on design, selection and quality of materials, forthcoming with responses to our questions and concerns. My kitchen project involved completely demolishing my old kitchen and making a brand new one. This also involved removing a load-bearing post and widening the opening to my living room. When I first spoke with Horizon, I had no idea what I wanted to do with the space, other than removing the load-bearing post and opening the doorway. Our kitchen was gross. A DIY job by the previous owner on the cheap. Nasty drawers and cabinets that would shed wood particles all over our plates. A poorly placed dishwasher that couldn't open all the way made it completely useless. It needed to go. We researched contractors for over 6 months. Interviewed and got bids from 4.
