The owner is stuck up and rude. Says he's the owner and is taking his time to come give us an estimate. Says he doesn't do small things and looked like he didn't want to be at our house wasting his precious time. The way he talked and acted throughout the process made me feel like our job was too small for him and we were wasting his time. We were looking around to get a kitchen and bathroom remodel. We met with several contractors but really liked Mike. He was professional, knowledgeable and we liked his design ideas and the quote. We ran into unexpected delays from the beginning and that set our timeline back out the gate (asbestos abatement). However, when the project got moving, it took off well. Horizon Construction was such a lucky find for me! I inherited a house from my parents on Balboa Island that was built in 1933. As my parents aged there was a lot of deferred maintenance that needed to be addressed. Project: Kitchen update: Replaced tile countertops with granite; added backsplash; lowered the bar to counter height and expanded the peninsula. Installed new sink, induction cook top and downdraft. Nearly 2 years ago Horizon came out and did a major remodel of our downstairs: kitchen, living room, baseboards & flooring, fireplace, etc. It came out beautifully and we were very happy with the results. Recently we were contacted by Horizon again, checking to see how we felt about the remodel at this point. Horizon Construction did a complete master bath remodel for me . They did a great job and stayed on schedule . Their attention to detail and finish work was perfect . Horizon Construction & Remodeling and Eitan the project manager were awesome! I had several projects done: foundation support, stucco, fascia boards, interior and exterior paint and electrical work. All were done professionally and perfectly. When unexpected issues arose, they were handled quickly & past expectation ! I would definitely use them again
