The remodeling included the demolition and reconstruction of 2 bathrooms. It included converting the guest bath to a walk-in shower with tile and a frameless glass enclosure. The job included replacing the vanities, countertops, installing porcelain tile throughout, new bathtub installed in the master bath, changes to the plumbing and all new fixtures including sinks, exhaust fans, and lighting. Added 215 sq.ft. to Master Bedroom including enlarged and remodeled Master Bathroom, siting area, and walk-in closet. Member Comments: This was the second project we've contracted with Horizon (first was a kitchen remodel in 2009). Work was completed on schedule, within budget, and met all our expectations. Horizon kept us apprised of the progress by email (e.g. "Tomorrow they will install the counter top"). Horizon had to take down two walls and put In a beam to create our open layout kitchen. It was a huge job and we took three bids. But the other two bids wouldn't take out the walls, and we didn't want to settle. Mark said yes right away and brought an engineer who gave the okay. Every change easy passed by us for approval and the work was done very well. Issues we had after the remodel were handled. Complete remodel of kitchen, demo of old exterior concrete stone and fireplace. Replaced with stack stone. Installation of wood flooring. We went through several contractors (6 to be exact) before we found the right one. From the moment we called Horizon Construction, Enna made use feel very comfortable. Just want to say that we are extremely happy with the kitchen remodel that Horizon Construction completed for us. Our home was built in the late 1940s and was really showing its age. We chose Horizon Construction because of Mark's vision for our bathrooms in our initial consultation. Our bathrooms are rather small, and we had a few ideas of what we wanted before Mark came over, but he quickly suggested what would and wouldn't work based on his extensive experience and design knowledge. We had recently purchased a home and wanted to do some extensive remodeling before we moved in. That job included: - Installing a new loft in a room that had a vaulted ceiling, and tying that new 2nd floor room into the existing stairs and hallway. Horizon Construction immediately responded to our request for a quote. Mark came out to the house, listened to our ideas, and helped us to plan a remodel that exactly fit what we wanted. He also helped with picking out materials that fit our budget. Work started on time (once all permits were approved), and moved quickly, without any work breaks. Rescued from a nightmare!!! We had a horrific experience with another contractor which left us with a bathroom that we couldn't use. The contractor lost their license and we were left with realizing we were going to have to start all over again. Horizon came in a rescued us from our misery and delivered a beautiful new master bathroom!
