Great food if you get a full portion. Our server, local farmer Jack, was outstanding. Unfortunately, the owner lost us as customers because of his poor decisions and the way he treated multiple customers during our visit.

Very good, the French martini is aeesome & very balanced, alcohol isn't over powering. The scallops were phenomenal. I recommend you try HoQ
The food here is absolutely amazing. Not only does it taste great, but I don't have to worry about any nasty ingredients when I eat here, it's all REAL FOOD! Sourced from local farmers it has been a great addition to Des Moines and the first place I consider for a night out.
Fresh, flavorful food; friendly, knowledgeable and talented staff; and a great wine and cocktail list! You can tell the chef puts a lot of thought into the unique dishes, and all of the local suppliers (a long list) are included in the menu. Everything was delicious, beautifully plated and the service was phenomenal. I'd definitely recommend visiting HoQ - on a regular basis!
