I'm a wuss and can't handle hot things, but unfortunately most on the menu had spice that I have a hard time handling. I believe my server's name was Tim and when I asked what options I had then helped me pick other items that would normally be too hot and how to customize them to my liking. The tacos were delicious. I have visited The Hoppy Gnome several times and I've never been disappointed. I am always up for trying food that is "out of the box". The Hoppy Gnome is definitely that! The waitstaff is fantastic! The atmosphere is fantastic! It's a place where you can go with family or out with the fellas...even the wife and still enjoy yourself! The food here is ON POINT and the beer selection is terrific! This place is THE BOMB! Super great staff, awesome, innovative food and an excellent beer and libation menu. Fun atmosphere too!! Come here with family, friends, coworkers, date night - every night! It's nice to see that Ft Wayne is coming up in the food game with the addition of the Hoppy Gnome. A very nice change from all the chain restaurants and mediocrity out there. Try it out, it's super good.
Our server was spectacular, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. She offered great suggestions on the menu and she knows her beers. We had a great time catching up with our friends who are also visiting from out of town. This will definitely be a special spot when we visit my bf's hometown. We appreciated the extensive craft beer list. Bravo!
I have had all the regular menu tacos as well as all their appetizers. All I can say is I LOVE this place! I could eat their ahi tuna taco all day everyday, although they are all delicious. If you haven't eaten here it is a definite must try!
