Been here almost 2 years. Yas and Ken have been the most amiable and kind people that have been the leasing management I've dreamed of. They have worked with me on every issue I have brought to their attention and in a reasonable way. 5 stars on them. As for the apartment, I will have to say its still fair. Sure the walls may be thin, the elevators may not run very well, but you do end up with rooms with excellent balcony views at a fraction of the cost of nearby apartments. We love our apartment and the community. Especially the luxury, having a gym and a pool in the building. It's always nice to run into people from all over the world. You don't feel alone and there is always someone who can help you and also fix things (special thanks to the maintenance guys). We are very sad to leave in the end of March...
I moved here also from California for grad school. Kenneth was the one that answered my questions and helped me with the application process. I liked the apartment first time I saw it. It's nice and quite, and got a great patio view. The people at the leasing office always greet me whenever they see me, which is really sweet. I have lived at Hopkins House for over 10 years and still love it!! Deb, the property manager, and her staff are fabulous, warm, attentive and efficient. I have seen many improvements (it is an older building) from the fitness room, laundry and community lounge! The staff always communicates with the residents and go above and beyond during times of improvements. During the recent BGE upgrade they had complimentary pizza and food trucks for the residents. I moved here from MA and have been living here for almost 3 years and couldn't be happier. I love the view through my big windows, the building so well maintained and any issues I may have in my apt are usually fixed within a few hours. The staff is fantastic: friendly and always ready to help. And the bonus is the location. Such a wonderful neighborhood!
Remove all our hardwood floors without our permission. Made our room a mess when we're not at home. The worst apartment at all !!!
Lived at the building for 10 years, nice place. Especially liked the garage and laundry room. Very convenient having a laundry room, gym, restaurant and parking garage all at the same building. The office staff and work personnel were very nice people as well.
Lower floor apartments have serious mice issue and they can't fix it. The mice keeps coming to the apartment again and again.
