Hopes Bridal Boutique -- The Pink Barn I would NOT recommend this bridal boutique to anyone searching for a bridal gown. I had a magazine picture of the wedding dress that I wanted. I showed the lady the picture, and she said, "We don't have that, and we won't be able to get it!" We were to be married in 6 months, and she said there was NO WAY should could order a dress in that short time. I would have to find a dress there in the store to buy, that was my only choice! Negative Stars Needed If I could give negative stars, I would. I really think the people that gave good reviews either work for Hope's or own Hope's. Hope's service is awful. I am a bridesmaid and went there for the bride, however, as soon as I walked in I wanted to walk out. The place is literally COVERED in carpet. All over the walls and floor, everywhere, and the whole place smells like urine. The set up is awful. The floor is super cramped and dresses are everywhere. The Pink Barn Hope's has a large selection of dresses and they are very helpful. I had a picture of the dress I wanted and they didn't have it in the store but they were able to order it for me and it came in no time. They helped me find everything I needed and they were really nice. I would definitely recommend them!

NIce selection of dresses Hopes bridal has a nice selection of gowns. They also offer tuxedo's, flower girl items, ring bearer items, jewelry, and invitations. They also allow you to make payments on your purchases, that's nice. The only thing is that they are a little out of the way if you live in Cedar Rapids, but over all it's worth the trip.
Mother of the Bride does NOT recommend. Purchased wedding gown there. Some staff are knowledgable, but many are local high school girls. My daughter was measured, and told she did not need extra length, when gown arrived and tried on, it was too short and she could not wear the crinoline underskirt the dress was designed for to make the skirt fuller because it caused it to be hitched up even higher and looked totally wrong. Their mistake, my headache ordered my daughter's prom dress months in advance only to find out that they had put the wrong prom date down (and school)....dress on the rack would of been fine, but they said they don't sell the ones off the rack (it only needed to be hemmed and straps taken in...was quoted one price and in the end had to pay another...so get it in WRITTING), when the dress finally came in after several phone calls and visits to the store, it was way too big, so had to get sides also taken in (for an additional... read more
Wonderful Service I went to Hope's in June of 2010 hoping to find a dress for my wedding which was scheduled for June of 2011. The staff were extremely helpful and were very honest, my appoinment was honored and I was not rushed. I fell in love with my dress and ordered it that day. In September my fiance was notified that he would be deploying to Afghanistan in November. We called Hope's to see what my options were, they did everything in their power to check on my dress. GREAT for bridal gowns! Not so great on bridesmaids dresses Absolutely LOVE this place. I had such a great experience there! The people where so helpful, I had emailed some pictures of dresses ahead of time and they were able to find the PERFECT dress for me based on pictures. I had an appointment and they helped me the whole time I was there.
