Worst Ever I decided to give Hopes Bridal a chance after hearing not so great things. After all...I do have my own opinion but let me tell you!!! I did not get ANY help when I walked in there. They were not even that busy. I was told most dresses did not look good on me. KEEP THAT TO YOURSELF!! One of those dresses happened to be the one I bought....just not with them. A tip to the employees...Don't be so rude, we help provide your paychecks.
Their mistake, my headache ordered my daughter's prom dress months in advance only to find out that they had put the wrong prom date down (and school)....dress on the rack would of been fine, but they said they don't sell the ones off the rack (it only needed to be hemmed and straps taken in...was quoted one price and in the end had to pay another...so get it in WRITTING), when the dress finally came in after several phone calls and visits to the store, it was way too big, so had to get sides also taken in (for an additional... read more
GREAT for bridal gowns! Not so great on bridesmaids dresses Absolutely LOVE this place. I had such a great experience there! The people where so helpful, I had emailed some pictures of dresses ahead of time and they were able to find the PERFECT dress for me based on pictures. I had an appointment and they helped me the whole time I was there. Pink Barn! You can hardly miss the Pink Barn and house along Highway 30 as you are headed west from Cedar Rapids. This bridal boutique has been there for years! They have everything you could possibly want for a wedding. Gowns, veils, books, tuxedos, dresses for little girls, alterations, fittings, glasses and so much more. You just have to experience it.
It's the BEST Hope's has the best selection, the kindest staff, and the most fun experience for bridal and prom shopping that I have found in Iowa. We've been there for for multiple occassions, and my family and friends will continue to go back, because they can't be beat. They CAN be incredibly busy at times, but that's because the shop is so great. If it's important to you to have a quiet, one-on-one experience, I'd recommend going in the middle of the week.
Wow, as for the few that said negative things about Hopes Bridal,I disagree I had a wonderful experience while shopping for my prom dress at Hopes. There were times when the staff was so busy that they couldn't come right away to help me, but I understood, because once they came back they were very helpful. ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIANCE EVER DO NOT go to this store. They will tell you anything to gain your business, then treat you like crap when something goes wrong. Bought my bridal dress from this store and the dress came in wrong with the wring hem. They would not be liable for anything. They were EXTREMELY RUDE and I will never go back there again. I had to spend my wedding day with a screwed up dress that I paid 2,000 for. HORRIBLE STORE.
Wonderful Service I went to Hope's in June of 2010 hoping to find a dress for my wedding which was scheduled for June of 2011. The staff were extremely helpful and were very honest, my appoinment was honored and I was not rushed. I fell in love with my dress and ordered it that day. In September my fiance was notified that he would be deploying to Afghanistan in November. We called Hope's to see what my options were, they did everything in their power to check on my dress. Best Place to get a dress I knew the minute I got engaged the only place I wanted to get my dress at was at Hope's. The minute that I walked in the door that it was the right place for me. The staff was very courteous to me even though I was larger they had dresses that fit me. I got my dress and my bridesmaids all got their dresses their too.
