I've been at the Dunwoody location for about a year and a half now. At one point this place was easily the best sober living in Atlanta. In the past 3 months however the program has shifted dramatically. They let go much of their key staff including Ray and are switching to a house format instead of apartments. The business is pretty clearly hard for cash and it shows. Hope Homes is not what it used to be. For the incredibly ludicrous monthly cost of living here I would highly suggest you save your money. The Charlotte location is HORRIBLE I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff was questionable and seems under qualified. Most clients didn’t work and played video games all day. It’s very easy to get bored of the whole community since they do very little besides AA. The actual homes are bland and have no real recreation besides a small pool only open in summer. Ray shares for 20-30 minutes every meeting, half of it isnt on topic. I only know one person who left Hope Homes on Ray’s caseload and recovered, i was there for 1y 9m. The rest of staff is 10/10. Screening is done horribly, many people come for a week and leave or get sen... read more
The staff are involved and truly care for the residents. I have enjoyed my stay with Hope Homes in Atlanta. I do feel that some of the requirements make it difficult to continue to lead a life that balances everyday life and recovery, however, their program allows for suggestion and open feedback.
