Our baseball team got a recommendation to try Hook and Boil this weekend. Such a cute hometown restaurant, but boy, I do not believe they are ready for large parties (it even says on their FB page, great for kids and large parties). When we arrived Saturday evening the restaurant was not crowded and the outdoor seating area had 1-2 tables with customers. We were sat outside; the weather and music were perfect! We came into the restaurant at 7:30 pm....it is now 9:57 pm and still don’t have our food and your establishment closed at 9pm!!! HORRIBLE....NEVER AGAIN! We are in town for baseball tournament and VERY DISAPPOINTED!
This is our second time at HB and it will be our last. Our waitresses each time were not the least interested in making sure we had great or nice service. We mentioned the 30 minute wait time for an single appetizer and refill which was lamely excused by the larger groups around us (that showed up after us). I can get better customer service elsewhere.
RecommendedLove the boiled shrimp and dipping sauce! Have hardly tried anything else because they are so good I want them every time!
Crawfish are amazing! Waitress/servers very friendly! Atmosphere causal and comfortable!

Amazing boiled crawfish & shrimp! Seasoned perfectly and Ellen, our server, was so precious, made great reccomendations. This place is a gem!
When we arrived we were told 30-45 mins, not bad. After an hour we were finally seated another hour we got our food. Crawfish and shrimp for basically 9 ppl. Some of the crawfish were mashed up and not worth eating, the regular is not spicy at all. This is the second time in a ur that we have had this experience. We WILL NOT be back!
