About this business

Honeypie was opened in 2009 and from the very beginning our goal has been to make great, Midwestern-inspired food from scratch. From our pickles to our pie crust we believe that good food is rooted in the way our grandparents used to cook. Real food made by hand with real ingredients. We use as many local meats, produce and other ingredients as we can. In fact, the majority of our ingredients at Honeypie are sourced from Wisconsin.

Food was good -- high quality for sure. Service was underwhelming especially since we were sitting AT THE BAR right in they're faces and they took forever to serve us first and second drink and food and dessert. Luckily, my friend and I had a lot of catching up to do so we didn't mind but it seemed a bit inefficient. I'll go back.

The place fits with the neighborhood, which has an eclectic vibe. It appears at first blush to be a bit hipster except it rubs me the right way and has a very authentically eccentric feel to it. All the food tasted great and the pie was awesome. I felt a bit ripped off it was $16 for a chicken pot pie and I only got 3 small pieces of chicken in the whole thing. Sue had a cornish pastry that was $10 and she had alot of chicken in hers and she also got a salad included for that price.
