Good time I had a good time last time there. Mostly early 20's people which I am. John isn't there much and that's ok with us. Grooovy place to pose. Food is decent. can still smoke at the bar.
It's like "Cheers," but cheaper...less booshie... The first time I went to Honest John's with some co-workers, I was like, "We're going to drink in Cass Corridor? I want an after work drink, not an after work [fill in the blank]!" However, when I got there, the staff were friendly, the clientele mixed (the rich, the poor and every one in between) and the food and drinks were cheap. Friendly Place The staff and patrons are very friendly. The food is good and the menu has many selections. The prices and service are reasonable. It's usually packed around lunch time. I stop in often.
Bar and Grill This is decent place to go to have a drink and a decent meal. The cost is low and the service is really good. I really enjoyed my self the last time I went there. I would recommend this spot to others.
You Will Have A Good Time Anytime You Go To Honest John's... Honest John's is owned by an eccentric, charity minded "Cass Corrider" native. His business caters to the laid back and un-pretentious. It is definitely not at "Sports Bar". They offer locally brewed beers on tap. The menu is small but the food is good. They offer breakfast, lunch & dinner along with great "Daily Specials". RecommendedLately with everything going on due to the pandemic my friends and I look for places with patios. They have the best patio we have found thus far. Great drinks great food great service great place.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Friendly environment, good service.
Please don't support honest john's. I have it on good authority that they had a positive covid test and both didn't shut down, but also forced people exposed to return to work before they received test results. They have a black lives matter sign in their window but are not protecting their predominantly black clientele from a virus that is affecting POC at 3x the rate of white people. They don't care about black lives, just black money #honestjohnsisracist #dishonestjohns
the fruity peebles French toast was great. an excellent first date. we will be back
