Ok. We went to Hondo’s based on the reviews we saw online. It’s awful! We got store bought chips with diluted salsa. The nachosa were a pile of tortilla chips with some chicken cubes and cheese. If it would not have come with sour cream and guacamole, it would have been a wash. The green enchiladas were tangy. Tangy? What’s up with that??? Great place. Everything I have ever ordered is awesome. The Margs rule.
They have great food, cold beer, and fun entertainment.
Love the rustic atmosphere. Live music was great. I order the Ruben which was very greasy. The meat looked like the type that comes out of a package. for 9:50 it was not very loaded. Only ate half. My husband and son order the burgers. The cheese was grater and not melted at all. The children's burger looked more like a mini meat loaf and they cut the bun in half. Like who does that. The meat was dry and funny tasting. Husband only ate half son refuse to touch it.The curly fries was the bomb. Best I have ever had.
The Reuben sandwich was great...the onion rings were too...but the company (Melinda Crenwelge) was the best part of the experience!!
Band was good BUT... everything else was not good at all!!! I stood in line for almost an hour to order food. It is a self service place and only has 1 line with 1 person taking food orders but also making drinks too. People were leaving because the line was So slow.... Others went to the pizza place just down the block and ordered to go and brought it back... while we were still standing in line!!!! No reason for such a wait!!!!
