I'm not sure why my experience differed from so many others, but my stay was awful. We paid close to $400/night for a Motel 6-type room, which was uncomfortably small. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed. The bedding was well-worn and shabby, as was the furniture. Our son slept on the pull out couch, which didn't have any bedding when we got there, and then when we requested it, we only received one sheet. The mattress was really painful. Very convenient for DC, excellent restaurants within walking distance for every type of food imaginable. There is a grocery store with a Starbucks inside directly across from the hotel. Lots of things to do less than half a mile away.
