I stayed at the Homewood Suites in Arlington for a long weekend in early September 2026. The location was excellent for visiting family in Arlington and Somerville. The sizeable rooms, free breakfast, and laundry room washers and dryers made it easy to stay for several days. The best part though was the staff. They were helpful, patient, and gracious with my requests (I'm kind of a picky traveler). This was my second stay at the property and I plan to stay there again when I visit in the future.

During our stay, housekeeping accidentally removed a small gray dolphin stuffed animal that my father gave me approximately 32 years ago. I reported it immediately. What followed was extremely frustrating. Despite repeated follow-ups over the next two days, we received little meaningful assistance and were initially even told that housekeeping had not entered our room, although the room had clearly been serviced. Disappointing family stay. We had a suite, but the master bedroom TV didn’t work. While technical issues happen, the way it was handled was frustrating—the maintenance person said he was working on it, then left for the night without resolving it or communicating with us. We had to follow up ourselves, and there was no apology or empathy from the staff. We even contacted hotel leadership and the parent company afterward, but no one followed up. Terrible. Walked in after a long haul flight to see no receptionist, no staff anywhere at the hotel. Tried to go to the toilet downstairs and it was disgusting. Waited 10-20 minutes and the receptionist finally arrives. My company provided the credit card authorisation form yet I was still being asked for the card details, had to contact my company HR at late hours of the day just because of this incompetent hotel.
