Overall, the room and hotel are clean. The bed is okay...not noticeable the first night but that second night we were tossing and turning. I kept waking up with soreness from the pressure on my upper back. The hotel breakfast is nothing special and quite standard. I will say the hotel room photos show a tub in the room and I was disappointed to end up with a shower. Additionally, I was overcharged. The location was great. The service was very nice good too. I'll even say the layout and spaciousness of our room was perfect for what we needed. I didn't realize the problem with the room until I came back from breakfast (that was also good) and went to take a shower. The top of the shower was very moldy. Really ruined my overall idea of the place
We had a great experience at this hotel. We were greeted warmly by Jamie at the front desk and she continued to interact with the guests in such a positive way throughout the evening reception. The Wednesday evening social was fun and delicious, thanks to Chef Ollie who makes homemade dishes and sets out snacks. She made the most delicious tortilla soup which I would love to make at home. Great bed and location for long trips. The fridge and kitchen amenities are great. Overall this place is poorly maintained. The exterior has what appears to be mold dripping down from most vents and water drainage flowing over the sidewalks. From the dark parking lots, police sign on the bldg and the condom on the side walk, theres either a security problem or is at least very uncomfortable. Always enjoyed staying at this location when in Amarillo. They have a nice courtyard for mornings with your coffee or evenings with a beverage.
