Future Renters Beware - As a current renter all communication must be made through the company's portal/email. . No calls, no in person visits, no texts, etc. This is not effective and any issues/questions you have will take a long time to process. Maintenance requests are also made through a portal and are extremely slow to resolve. Ex: Our Window Air Conditioner in living room failed and it took weeks for the Maintenance department to come out to look at it. After faithfully paying rent for a year at $7200 a month calls and e-mails never yielded the landlord letter we requested showing my sons new prospective landlord his bills are paid in time. A small request. Meanwhile we didnt withhold rent when our child had a non working refrigerator for weeks and countless other issues. Disgusting business model.
I do not even rent nor have I EVER rented with Hometeam Properties. I had never HEARD of them until Thursday. I own my home and have owned this home for almost 2 years. 2 days ago, my security system goes off (at the home I own) because someone is trying to enter my home (that I own). Oh where do I start?? This place is awful! My son moved in August 1, 2020 and had to request a washer and dryer many many times b/f finally getting one. Then this past April, he told ****** that he was interested in staying for another year. She told him sure and have you found any roommates. If you do, let me know their information and we'll get you guys taken care of. So in the meantime my son was finding roommates, found one so far and gave the info to ******. WORST COMPANY TO EVER RENT FROM.. won’t do anything about complaints. I was verbally assaulted by neighbor while two children were in my home.
If you are thinking about renting a property with Hometeam, turn back NOW. You have been warned. This company has done nothing but TERRORIZED my roommate and I this year. Our problems started even before we moved in. On move-in day, the apartment was not cleaned and the furniture from the previous tenant was not moved out. Therefore, Hometeam did not allow us to move in [on our contractually agreed-upon day] and I was homeless for 2 days with all my stuff in a moving truck. Hometeam properties will steal your money and neglect your needs as a tenant. After over charging for parking inner apartment complex towing was turned off for over a month, leading to my car being blocked in multiple times. When calling in to ask why we were paying for parking just for our cars to be blocked in the response was "Just don't pull in all the way" after a second call we were told that we can call the office and they can call the company, but only during office ours... which is useless for those that leave for w... read more
We moved into our house 3 weeks ago. The house was uncleaned and still needed maintenance. After being in the house for a few days the cleaners finally came and only did a partial job. After numerous attempts to get the cleaners to return they never did. They also told us the oven/stove was unfixable and unable to be cleaned. After having 5 calls with Hometeam they told us that they ordered and paid for a new stove and it was on backorder.
